The JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) 10K rating corresponds to a nominal pressure of 1.0 MPa (โ10 bar / 145 psi) at ambient temperature. It is one of the most widely used pressure classes in the Asia-Pacific region and is specified extensively in water treatment, petrochemical, and general plant engineering projects across Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Unlike ASME B16.5 classes, JIS flanges use metric bolt diameters and different face-to-face dimensions. This is why substituting a JIS 10K blind flange with an ANSI Class 150 blind flange is not acceptable โ bolt circle diameters and gasket dimensions differ critically.

JIS 10K refers to a pressure rating of 1.0 MPa (10 bar) in the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS B2220. While both JIS 10K and ANSI Class 150 are often used in similar low-pressure lines, they are not dimensionally interchangeable โ bolt circle, bolt diameter, and facing dimensions differ.
